Gracie's Bookshop offers favorite children's books at affordable prices. Many are Newbery Books, Acclerated Reading Book titles, titles that I know are favorites of teachers and homeschoolers. Also, titles that were personal favorites from my own childhood and my children's favorites.

Our books are remainder books and are therefore discounted. What is a remainder book? When a book is printed, the publisher estimates the demand to determine how many copies will be printed; the publisher does the same thing for any additional printings of the book. The difference between these initial estimates and actual sales of a  book are the remainders. Sometimes the publisher printed too many copies or bookstores purchased too many copies and have returned them to the publisher for credit. Copies of remaindered books are marked by the publisher, distributor or bookseller, on the edge of the book, usually on the bottom, to prevent them from being returned to bookstores. Most remainders are marked with a stroke with a felt-tipped marker across the top or bottom of the book's pages, near the spine. Our books are new, unread books with clean, tight pages. In some cases there might be very minor shelf wear to edges, but overall our books are in excellent condition. 

We also sell bents and dents. Some of the possible conditions for our bents and dents are: a dented corner, wrinkled dust jacket, dented binding or scratched dust jacket. These books are new, unread books with clean pages and tight bindings without pages missing. They might not work for a gift, but will be fine for personal use or when bents and dents would not matter. Books in this condition will be listed as so.
